Daily office work

Use it for focused office tasks

Start with work that is easy to check: rewrite one email, summarize one meeting, OCR one screenshot, or turn notes into a checklist. Once the output is useful, save the repeated steps as a local skill.

Draft emails and meeting follow-ups

Turn rough notes into a reply, a client update, or a meeting follow-up with decisions and action items. Review the wording before sending, especially when the message leaves your organization. Explore writing assistance.

Workflow pipeline

Add what your team has,
review what Think-Act gives back

Bring in rough notes, a document, a screenshot, or a recorded task, ask for the outcome your team needs, then check the result before it moves into email, a workbook, or another office system.

Step 01

Drop in the source material

Paste rough notes, upload a scanned PDF, screenshot a form, or record the desktop process you keep explaining.

Step 02

Think-Act prepares the draft

It extracts text, structures the notes, proposes a response, or builds the checklist. Desktop actions stay behind confirmations when they matter.

Step 03

Review, use, and save

Read the result, make corrections, then copy it where it belongs. If the process repeats, save the reviewed steps as a local skill.

Office workspace

Keep the source, working draft, and review checkpoint in one view

Bring notes, documents, screenshots, and working drafts into one focused workspace. Keep the source close while you review extracted details, uncertain fields, and proposed wording before using the result in email, a workbook, or another office system.

Compare source facts, uncertain fields, recipients, and proposed changes before anything is copied, sent, or written back.

Writing & meetings

Turn rough communication into reviewed drafts

Think-Act is strongest when the source is messy but the outcome is easy to judge: a difficult email, a meeting recap, an executive summary, or a note that needs a better tone.

  • Draft replies from short notes, then review before sending.
  • Convert meeting notes into decisions, open questions, and owners.
  • Use writing assistance for tone, translation, and summaries across desktop apps.
Documents & spreadsheets

Stop retyping what is already on the page

Use Think-Act for document work that normally becomes copy-paste labor: scanned PDFs, screenshots, receipts, form fields, and report excerpts that need to become a table or summary.

  • Extract text from screenshots and scanned PDFs with OCR and document intelligence.
  • Prepare spreadsheet-ready tables and explain copied formulas before you paste output into workbooks.
  • Keep higher-volume document cycles reviewable, especially when finance or legal content is involved.

Your team stays in control

A useful draft is not the same as permission to act

Writing, summarizing, and extracting user-provided content can stay read-only. Opening files, updating workbooks, sending messages, scheduling meetings, or changing folders needs the right access and a visible review point.

Access and confirmation boundaries for common office tasks
Task Context Access Boundary Team Checkpoint
Rewrite copied text
No connector Review the wording, facts, and intended audience
Summarize meeting notes
Only the provided notes Verify decisions, owners, open questions, and dates
Read a provided document
Only the provided file Use an approved source and compare output with the original
Update a spreadsheet
Supported spreadsheet connector Preview the target cells and confirm before writing
Send email or create an event
Approved email or calendar connector Review recipients, content, time, and final details
Move, overwrite, or delete files
External access Show every proposed change and confirm first

Exact capabilities depend on the tools and policies your organization enables. If access is unavailable, Think-Act should say so and leave the task as a draft. Explore controlled automation and approved integrations.

Security for office workflows

Work documents need careful handling

Emails, meeting notes, PDFs, and spreadsheets often contain private work content. Think-Act runs as a Windows desktop app, while processing location depends on the model endpoint and connectors you configure.

A local or private endpoint is one technical control. It does not by itself guarantee confidentiality, retention compliance, or data residency. Use only processing paths approved for the content.

Office Security Checklist

  • Use approved endpoints only Point sensitive company content at your organization's approved AI endpoint, not a default cloud service, where your policies require it.
  • Review output before sending Always read the draft or summary before forwarding externally. Think-Act produces a first pass; you are responsible for the final version.
  • Keep confirmations enabled Keep confirmation on for sending, sharing, moving, overwriting, deleting, or changing external data—even when the workflow is familiar.
  • Sensitive files in approved locations Store business documents in folders your IT policy covers. Don't expand file-access permissions beyond what a task actually needs.
  • Approve connectors deliberately Enable only organization-approved connectors with the narrowest practical access. Third-party tools can introduce additional data paths.

Step 02

Try a single, low-risk task

Paste an email, meeting notes, or a document screenshot. No connectors or extra setup are needed for this first step.

Step 03

Review before using

Read the draft, summary, or extracted text. Edit what needs editing. Think-Act handles the first pass; you make the final call.

Step 04

Save repeated steps as a skill

When a workflow saves time, save the reviewed guidance as a local skill. Recheck it when applications, templates, policies, or input formats change. Add approved connectors only when the task needs them.

If Think-Act becomes part of your daily workflow, upgrade to Pro or Business before high-volume tasks run into free-tier limits.

FAQ

Common questions from office teams

Plain answers before you try Think-Act on your everyday office work. More questions are covered on the full FAQ page.

Try Think-Act for Office Work
Can Think-Act help with Excel?

Think-Act can explain copied formulas, summarize pasted data, draft spreadsheet notes, and prepare table-ready output. Reading or changing a workbook requires a supported spreadsheet or desktop connector with scoped access and confirmation.

Does it read my screen all the time?

No. Screen context is requested only during user-initiated workflows that need it. Think-Act does not capture your screen passively or in the background.

Can my whole team use Think-Act?

Each team member can install Think-Act on a supported Windows machine. Organization-wide deployment, policy, and team controls depend on the selected Business plan and deployment arrangement.

Does Think-Act work offline?

Some local features can work without a network connection, but AI generation depends on the configured model endpoint. Cloud endpoints, sign-in, updates, and connected features require network access. A local or private endpoint can support tighter control where approved.

What is a reusable skill?

A skill is reviewed guidance for a repeatable task, like formatting a weekly status report or extracting fields from a standard form. Recheck it whenever applications, templates, policies, or input formats change.

Can Think-Act send emails or update spreadsheets automatically?

Only when a supported connector or desktop workflow has been enabled with the required access. Drafting needs no connector; sending an email or changing a workbook should show the intended action and require confirmation. See how Think-Act approaches review-led automation.

Where is my office content processed?

Processing depends on the model endpoint and connectors you configure. A local or private endpoint is one technical control, not a guarantee of confidentiality, retention compliance, or data residency. Use only organization-approved processing paths and review the security and data-routing guidance.

Is there a free version?

Think-Act is free to install and try. Writing, OCR, meeting summaries, and basic reviewed workflows are useful starting points. Pro or Business plans provide higher usage limits or team features.
